Welcome to the Pre-k Class!
You will find a busy classroom upon entering this exciting age group. Children at this age are the leaders in curriculum planning; the pre-k teacher simply guides the child’s learning while facilitating engaging, meaningful, and challenging activities based on the children’s interest. The children help build, create and transform the classroom to make learning more fun!
Skills, Tools, and More
Children in this age group are learning to be independent. Our teachers guide your children in learning skills such as holding pencils and crayons correctly, correctly cutting with scissors, taking care of their own toiletry needs, dressing themselves,cleaning up their materials and putting them away.
We understand the importance of kindergarten readiness.
We believe our program is designed to naturally enhance the skills, tools, and requirements that are essential for children to enter kindergarten. Some of the learning outcomes in this class include letter and number recognition, writing their names, writing uppercase/lowercase letters and numbers, phonetics, early reading of sight words, the days of the week, months of the year, the four seasons, as well as time concepts such as today, tomorrow, and yesterday. They will also get to participate in several science experiments, sensory activities, & cooking projects.
